We at Arms Wide Open are excited that you are interested in auditioning for the next upcoming musical and look forward to seeing you. In order to be eligible to audition you must fill out and submit the audition application below. Once the application is submitted the AWO office team will contact you and give you an audition time and date. All cast members are required to pay the production fee and must be registered in at least one AWO class to remain eligible.
Preparing for your Audition: All audition participants will need to prepare a two minute singing or dancing performance piece of your choice. Each participant will need to bring a smart device that has his/her song on it. Participants will audition in front of our artistic team, which includes the director, musical director, stage manager and choreographer. The audition process is designed to be quick, easy and fun. The artistic team is very supportive and will help guide participants through the process if needed. All who audition will be cast in the show.
Callbacks: After an audition is completed, the participant may be given a call back slip to return another day to read or sing a piece selected from the show. A few weeks after auditions and call backs, the show will be cast and rehearsals will begin.

Arms Wide Open next hit musical will be “Descendants the Musical”.
Auditions: Will take place on June 30th, 2022. Starting at 6pm.
Location: Arts In Motion Dance Center. Adresss - 237 East Main Street, El Cajon, 92020.
Seeking: A diverse cast of Individuals with special needs or disabilities ages 13+ who love to sing dance or act.
COVID 19: Vaccinations are not required to be a member of our cast. No masks are required at this time.
Rehearsal Information: First rehearsal will begin on July 6th from 7pm - 9pm selective cast TBA
Performance Information:- Show will go up in January/February 2023, (AIMDC Black Box.)
Production Fee: $400.00 due at the first rehearsal on November 1st 2022’
Performances will take place at the Arts In Motion Dance Center Black Box Theatre.
