Synopsis: Alice is a jukebox musical adaptation of Lewis Carrol beloved tale Alice In Wonderland. This story is about Alice a talented and driven young woman living in a modern, fast-paced world. As the headstrong dance captain of her high school prestigious dance team, Alice is constantly battling the overwhelming pressures of perfection, responsibility, and expectations—both from her team and Instructor. Her personal life is in turmoil, too. Her mom recently left her and her father without a trace, leaving Alice to deal with a void that no one seems to understand. Feeling the weight of everything crashing down, Alice struggles to balance who she truly is with the identity she's forced to maintain.
As Alice grapples with these intense pressures, her once-joyful passion for dance starts to feel like an exhausting obligation. She wonders if she’s losing herself in the chase for success, constantly trying to live up to the roles and expectations everyone else has for her. Just when it feels like everything is slipping away, Alice stumbles upon an old, antique mirror in a quiet corner of high school dance studio.
The mirror is no ordinary object—it’s a magical portal to a whimsical, musical wonderland where Alice encounters vibrant characters and surreal challenges. Each figure she meets reflects aspects of her life and the identity struggles she’s been avoiding. The enigmatic White Rabbit, the quirky Cheshire Cat, and the elusive Mad Hatter guide Alice through this strange, ever-changing world, each of them helping her unravel the truth about herself. As she dances through these experiences, Alice begins to rediscover her love for dance—not as a means to achieve but as a way to express, release, and reclaim her joy.
Through her journey in Wonderland, Alice learns that change is inevitable, but it doesn’t have to mean losing herself. Instead, it can be an opportunity for growth. By facing her fears, embracing her passion, and finding peace within, Alice prepares for the most important moment of her life—the final recital. This time, she isn’t dancing for anyone else but herself. The curtain rises, and Alice finally steps into her true self, confident, free, and ready to dance her heart out.
